What is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes ?
Submission Wrestling (also called grappling or no-gi) is a term of a wide variety of ground styles such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Greek Roman & Freestyle Break, Judo, Sambo & many others.
Submission Wrestling is a mixture of all of these, but where SW stands out is in its rules. The rules in SW gives the practitioner most possibilities, in contrast to eg wrestling,
Where you win on positional dominance, you win in SW by “submitting” the opponent. This can be achieved through different locks and strangulations where the opponent surrendered before permanent damage occurs ( tapping out )
The training is divided into techniques, drilling, situationel sparring and free sparring, and when you spar against active opponents, the nature of the resistance is always varied and unpredictable, making the training as fun and effective.
The use of the sport and overall efficiency are evident as it is used by professional athletes in the UFC, EFC and other mixed martial arts events around the globe.
The grappling team constitutes the foundation for MMA and is an absolute must if you have ambitions about MMA ground game – If you are looking for standup – u have to take our Muay Thai / K-1 classes, which is based on the standing foundation
